Ecko Unltd. clothing

I set a small fire under my ass with that last post by putting up work that may/may not have been used. Doing a lot of freelance artwork you get to a point where you forget to “check in” on some of your old gigs to see whether or not they actually blossomed.

This is one such gig I did over a year ago. I was contacted by Marc Ecko to do a t-shirt design for his clothing line, Ecko Unltd. and I started to play with it in the following way…

At first I played around in my black book and came up with a couple of rough concepts. Straight pen to paper.

Next I settled on a couple of the concepts and decided to do final ink renders of them (also done in my black book).

Next we have my first final rough composite.

THIS… I believe is the final I gave them. There is a good chance I did a few other versions but this is the only one I saved.  I may have lost a couple stages of the process as well, but I think you see the scope of it. Nate=Dumb.

* Again, I am unaware if these were either produced or not. I simply figured it’s “old” and would be fun to post… so fuck it.

I think the next post I do may be for the shirts I did for GAP/Old Navy. I may even post some old Levi Strauss work. Shit. Why not? Stay tuned…

  1. Exactly, WHY NOT?

It was at a Levi’s event that we first saw your work…and we love our Professor.

And it IS a good idea to check back in with old clients who WERE interested in your “stuf” , timings a lot, (your health EVERYTHING), as well as making sure they are not “USING” your stuf..

  2. Absolutely amazing work again N8. You truly impress the shit out of me with every post!!! Keep it up man.
